Physical Education

Physical activity is critical for the development of young men. Fountain Academy recognizes this by making athletics and Physical Education a central feature of the daily curriculum. Students are given approximately an hour of sports every day as well as opportunities in extra curricular school teams and athletic clubs. We also run a lunch time intramural programme through out the year.

Grades 7 to 10: The emphasis of the physical education programme in junior high is to develop positive attitudes towards physical activity. We concentrate on motivating students to work at attaining high levels of personal fitness.

Grade 11: We offer two weekly Athletic periods within the regular schedule in order to introduce a wide variety of recreational activities that focus on personal fitness, nutrition and lifelong leisure pursuits thereby encouraging students to maintain a physically active lifestyle.
